Some poetry from the LCC concert

"The first American music around,
Had notes shaped, diamond and round,
Keeping rhythm with an arm,
They sang songs with great charm,
For ne’er could a livelier hymn be found.”

A: just once, said he

A: May I touch, said he
B: How much, said she
A: A lot, said he
B: Why not, said she

A: Let’s go, said he
B: Not too far, said she
A: What’s too far, said he"
B: Where you are, said she!" [e.e. cummings, excerpt]

"Our night concludes with a future much brighter
As we sing the same message by two different songwriters
And through endless optimism, wonder and love,
Our last song portrays hope that rises above."

"An encore we give to you all,
We hope it will lift your morale,
We thank you so much,
And now a patriotic touch,
From the Livingston County Chorale."
